We are proud to annouce our sponsorship of Operation Long Run.
We are sponsors of the fuel for base vehicles used during the operation of this great charity event. The operation long run (OLR) supports BLESMA (British Limbless Ex Service Men’s Association), which is the national charity for limbless serving and ex-service men and women and their dependants and widows.
Mike Crawley set out on Sunday 5th of May to run 100 ultra-marathons in 100 days which is a total of 3275 miles, and once he has completed this he will be partaking in the Three Peaks Challenge. This is definitely not a charity event for the faint hearted but Mike is only a couple of months away from his 67th Birthday making this even more impressive.
The charities work starts with the rehabilitation and proving that there is a life after amputation, their work is about amputee helping amputee – the fellowship of shared experience. Their youngest Member is 19 and our oldest is 99.
Ashley Griffiths, Managing Director of Deconstruct commented:
“We are very proud to be supporting such a great cause and wish Mike Crawley the best of luck during the remainder of his challenge.”
If you would like to make a donation to his fund you can do so by going to the Sign up here page where you can donate via PayPal with any major credit card or you can donate through Virgin Giving at this address http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/OLR. Monies donated via the website will be paid directly to BLESMA at the end of each week so that gift aid can be added. If you donate through Virgin Giving then the money goes straight to BLESMA including gift aid.
Mike will benefit greatly from personal messages of support and encouragement over the next 100 days and you can do this (even if you don’t know him… yet) using the email address email@example.com .
